Product registration is the single biggest gap between a deal agreed and a product on a shelf.
UAE law requires all consumer products to be registered with Dubai Municipality before they can be placed on the UAE market. Only a licensed import/export entity in the UAE can do this registration — and most international exhibitors don’t have one.
GL Middle East holds that licence. We’ve been registering products for our exhibitors since we identified this as the most common reason deals agreed at the show didn’t convert to actual shelf presence.
Ready for Trade is not our primary business — it’s a service we offer because helping exhibitors succeed is how we build a better show.

Documents collection
Gather all required documentation per SKU as outlined in the requirements.

Samples couriered to Dubai
Send the physical samples required for the registration process.

Arabic label translation
Official translation of product labels into Arabic as per regulations.

Application submitted
Final submission of all documents and translated labels to the authorities.

Barcode received — valid 5 years
Successful registration yields a barcode valid for 5 years.
Documents required per SKU
- Clear photo of the product & Ingredients
- Certificate of Free Sales or Health Certificate (Legalized up to UAE Embassy in origin country)
- GMP or ISO Certificate
- Halal Certificate (Required for Food, Cosmetics, and Supplements)
- Letter of Appointment or Trade License (if applicable)
- + 2 physical samples per SKU couriered to Dubai
Important: All SKUs must be under the same brand.
If you have multiple brands, they will be treated as separate registration applications.
